A Derbyshire police officer is under investigation for allegedly using AI to fabricate evidence in multiple cases. The officer has been removed from frontline duties while the Crown Prosecution Service collaborates with Derbyshire Police on the investigation.

ArXiv will impose a one-year ban on authors who submit papers containing obviously AI-generated content that includes inappropriate language, plagiarism, bias, or errors. Thomas Dietterich, chair of the computer science section at ArXiv, stated that authors are responsible for the inclusion of such outputs in their work.
