Komai is a new chat application designed for the Matrix platform, aimed at enhancing user experience. The developers behind Komai have extensive experience in Matrix self-hosting and have created solutions for thousands of users through their matrix-docker-ansible-deploy Ansible playbook.

Zulip Server 12.0 introduces end-to-end encryption for mobile push notifications, a significant Docker upgrade, and configurable image previews, alongside hundreds of new features and bug fixes. Since the 11.0 release in August 2025, nearly 5,500 new commits have been merged into the project.
