Oracle is drafting a policy governing the use of generative AI tools in OpenJDK contributions. The policy aims to address opportunities for improved developer productivity while managing risks related to reviewer burden, safety, security, and intellectual property.

Project Valhalla will be integrated into the main OpenJDK repository, targeting JDK 28. JEP 401 introduces Value Classes and Objects, marking a significant advancement in the Java Virtual Machine.
