SQLite version 3.51.3 fixed a longstanding bug in its Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) subsystem known as the WAL-Reset bug. This bug, which had existed since 2010, was a data race issue with tight timing constraints that the SQLite team was previously unaware of.

A GitHub repository published multiple SQLite vulnerability advisories, which were flagged as critical by NVD and CISA. JFrog security researchers found that the cited code did not exist in the referenced versions, and the proof-of-concept payloads failed to trigger the vulnerabilities.

Syntaqlite is a new set of developer tools for SQLite, released after three months of development and approximately 250 hours of effort. AI coding agents significantly contributed to the creation of these tools, addressing a long-standing gap in the developer experience for SQLite.
