The milestone places Muse among 12 mobile apps that have reached 10 million U.S. downloads within 40 days of launch. Sensor Tower said the other apps include games such as Fortnite, PUBG Mobile and Pokémon GO, along with non-game apps Threads and Disney+. Meta allocated 39% of its total advertising spending to Muse in October, up from 23% in September, Sensor Tower reported. Muse ranked 21st among U.S. brands by advertising impressions in October, compared with 73rd in September. Meta also promotes Muse across a family of services with 3.6 billion daily active users. Muse had U.S. retention rates of 30% after seven days and 23% after 14 days, versus averages of 19% and 16% for ChatGPT, Claude and Grok. Daily active users reached 2.5 million on October 16, up 15% week over week. Muse’s first-40-day U.S. downloads exceeded ChatGPT’s 3.7 million, Grok’s 500,000 and Claude’s 200,000. ChatGPT reached roughly 15 million global downloads over its first 40 days, while Muse is currently available only in the U.S. and Canada. Muse has held the top U.S. App Store rank except on October 19 and led Google Play downloads over the past 30 days.
